It has thirteen rooms capable of hosting from ten to thousand people, it is therefore an excellent location to receive wine lovers and experts.
In addition, the former boiler room of the Kurhaus has been home to the Theater in der Altstadt theatre since 1993, where both theatre and music events are held throughout the year.
Ugolini wines: a dream come true
The history of the Ugolini wines began in 2006, when Giambattista Ugolini decided to vinify the grapes of his vineyards. Così, nel 2010 vengono prodotte le primissime bottiglie a marchio Ugolini e, più precisamente, di Valpolicella e Amarone. Thus, in 2010 the very first Ugolini brand bottles and, more precisely, Valpolicella and Amarone are produced.
Starting from 2016, then, the Icea (organic) certification that provides Ugolini wines with further prestige both from an enological and ecological point of view. By not using any kind of chemical substance on the vineyards, in fact, they were able to repopulate the territories of Valpolicella insects and birds that had disappeared over the years. The restoration of the natural fauna of the territory has benefited both the environment and the grapes – and therefore the wine – which, in this way, have the possibility of expressing in their juice the terroir and the characteristic microclimate. Every Ugolini wine, therefore, has a unique personality, which is enhanced even more with the use of the French “Cru” method.
Giambattista Ugolini, however, absolutely did not want to lose the deep link with the past, so he decided to create a new line, Magna Mòra that includes three wines: Valpolicella Classico, Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore and, of course, Amarone della Valpolicella.
The words of Giambattista:
The inspiration of Magna Mòra wines originates from the stories of our grandparents, from their way of making wine in Valpolicella. Once upon a time in each wine the best of different vineyards were combined, always respecting the aging times and the characteristics of the varieties.
