Winemakers have the duty to cure what has been created

I was born between vineyards, cypresses, olive and cherry trees and ever since I was little I breathed the true sense of biodiversity . Together with my brothers, the choice has always been the one of walking along the footsteps of our parents and, if possible, to leave the place they passed down to us even better. And that’s how the choice of organic became logic, unavoidable, substantial in order to sustain the project of creating Ugolini’s Winery.

Only by walking through our various fields spread around Fumane’s Valley it is possible to understand how much this territory is protected and loved by those who take care of it. Exactly, we talk about the cure of creation, of symbiosis with nature, of respecting a wonderful gift Making wine and growing vines means falling in love with the falcon soaring above the vineyards, be amazed by an unexpected wild animal coming close, listening to the echo of the winemakers’ voices, smelling all the different types flowers and enjoying the most intimate language of the purest nature.

Let’s stop chemicals in our properties

For this reason we eliminated every use of chemicals on our properties . Herbicides and pesticides never found any space in Tenute Ugolini. We collaborated with the University of Verona to practice homeopathy on plants with extracts of garlic and other natural antiseptics. We obtain the nitrogen we need for plants from other leguminous plants through the practice of green manuring.

A song from the ground to the sky

Here bees are always welcome, hosted in houses devoted to preserve their lives during the changing of seasons. The development of dangerous insects is controlled by others engaging in a positive rivalry. The ground is soft with an active population of microorganisms granting an organized life throughout our vineyards.
Plants live happily in this organic turmoil. Grapes are tastier. Wine will tell us a different story. It will be the harmonized singing of the ground towards the sky.
